The dog mentioned above was scheduled for TPO (Tripple Pelvic Osteotomy) surgery on it's right hip based on radiographs taken Nov. 6th. New images today reveal a great deterioration of the situation. The subluxated right hip has luxated totally with shallowing of the acetabulum (cup) and the previously almost normal left hip joint has deteriorated into a gravely subluxated position, also requiring surgery. The prognosis for the dog has changed drastically in one month due to the progressive hipdysplasia and eutanasia was chosen to avoid unnescessary suffering.
